Why does pie have to taste so good

Would it be okay if I just wore stretchy pants for the next month.  I don't know about you but I know I ate way too much for Thanksgiving.  Well, I can't take back the two pieces of pie that I ate or the seconds that I had.  I think that from Thanksgiving to Christmas has got to be the worst time to be on a diet.   You have the endless christmas parties, baking christmas cookies and of course christmas shopping which makes you hungry or thristy.   I know a lot of people make it their new years resolution to get into shape and lose weight but I am thinking why not start now.  Let me first say that I am by no means saying that I am Miss Fit Universe.  I am just trying to find a way to enjoy my favorite treats without gaining a million pounds.  So, there are two great websites that I have found that have great workouts that you can do right at home.  The first one is

Instead of doing a set amount of each exercise you do them in intervals.  So, everytime you do the exercises you want to beat how many you did the time before.  I would die for a body like Zuzana, heck just to have a hint of muscle I would be happy.

The next website is:

If you click the header above it actually will take you to their youtube channel- their website is toneitup.com.   They have so many workouts that you would never get bored of doing the same thing over and over.  I really wish I could work out on the beach like they do.

Have you tried either of these sites?  If so let me know how they worked for you or if you have a favorite workout send it to me.

Once upon a time

A long, long time ago B.C (before children) I used to be a very crafty person.  I used to make jewelry, knit, sew, and I even tried making candles at one point.  Well, when I had my daughter my craft room was transformed into a nursery and so I moved my stuff downstairs to the office.  Then along came the twins and again my craft room was tranformed into a nursery and my craft stuff went into a closet and that is where it has stayed.  Instead of knitting a scarf my time was spent feeding kids, changing diapers, and trying to get some sleep.  As I was searching my favorite website, Pinterest, I started getting the crafting bug again.  There are so many great ideas that people post and it has made me want to get my stuff out of storage.  Here are some of the first projects I would like to do:

If you have some great diy projects you have done, I would love to see them.

I am not ready

Today something happened that did not make me very happy- it snowed here in Michigan.  I know you are probably thinking that I should be used to snow since I live in Michigan but I am not.  I do not like anything about snow- I hate driving in it, I hate shoveling it, I hate walking through it, I pretty much hate everything about snow.  I have lived in Michigan all my life and I dread every winter and the dreaded snow that comes with it.  The only good thing about winter is shopping for snow boots.  So, instead of thinking about all the snow that will eventually be on the ground, I am going to think of the awesome boots that I want on my feet.

Toasty Toes

From top left and going clockwise: Sorel Joan of Artic Boots $140/ Muk Luks Houndstooth boot $51/ Australia Luxe boots $141/ The North Face lace up boots $130/ Juicy Coutoure rhinestone $140/ Koolaburra shearling $180/ Tacoma Muk Luk $201

Buckle Up, Its The Law

When I was in high school I remember the one thing i wanted for christmas was a seat belt belt.  If you don't know what i am talking about, this is what it looked like:
Well, this was probably the last time that I wore a belt.  I love all the fashions that incorporate belts but everytime I try them they just don't look right.  I did find some belts that I liked and think they would be a good start for me to begin incorporating belts into my wardrobe.

Buckle Up, Its The Law

I would love to see how you incorporate belts into your wardrobe!

Let's play hide and seek

I didn't sit in bed all day and watch Beverly Hills 90210 yesterday but I am feeling a little better today.  So, instead of watching Beverly Hills 90210 I did watch some HGTV.  I was watching the show The High/Low Project and they did an awesome project that I totally want to try.  They were redoing a living room and they came up with the most creative way to hide a tv.  They took two way mirror glass and built a frame around it and put it in front of the television.  So, when the tv was on it would show through the glass but when it was off it looked like a mirror.  I went on the HGTV website but I couldn't find the project but this is what it looks like

To do this project yourself go to http://www.ehow.com/how_6914830_make-tv-mirror.html.

Some other options to hide your tv:

For this one you use a bypass closet door kit and some plywood.  I am not a big fan of the leaf designs on the plywood.  My sister suggested instead of painting the leaves I could put a picture there, something like this:

Instead of two kissing we would have the twins on one side and addy on the other so when it is closed it is a picture of all of them and when they are opened it is two pictures.

And yet some more ideas:

I'm back

Sorry for the brief delay in posting, I have been busy the last couple of days.  Well, it is officially fall here because the weather is getting colder which in turn means it is time for cold season.  My poor nephew has been sick for the past couple of days and now it has come to my house.  The kids aren't sick yet- please cross your fingers they don't get it- but I was not so lucky.  I started getting a sore throat this morning and now as I write this I just feel blah.  It would be so nice to take one whole day off and just sit in bed but that is not going to happen for two reasons- 1. I have a job I need to be at and 2. I have twin 3.5 year old boys that would not let me stay in bed all day.  If by some magic power I was able to lay in bed all day this is what it would consist of:
