Laces Not Included

With my hectic life I am all about convenience.  I am constantly running out the door to get to practices, games, the grocery store or wherever else I need to be in 5 mins.  I always try to plan ahead to make sure we aren't scrambling around before we leave but no matter how hard I try, it always happens. Half the time I throw on the first pair of shoes I see by the door as I am leaving.  So, I was on a mission to find some stylish yet convenient shoes for me that I can just slide on and go.

Stop Wishing, Start Doing version 2.0

Well Hello There!

My last post had the same title and I thought this post needed the same title because to be honest I haven't followed through with what I said I wanted to do.  When I originally started my blog I really didn't put too much thought into it.  My thinking was I liked to read blogs so why not start my own- how hard can it be.  Well, as you can see I was not very good at it and to be honest I sucked at blogging.  I am now ready to put more effort into my blog and really make it what I want to.  If you are here looking for expert advice or great journalism, I apologize because you have come to the wrong blog.  I am a fan of short and sweet and so that is what my posts will be because honestly I don't have the time or energy to write long posts.  I have some big goals that I want to achieve and hopefully you follow me through them.

Thanks for coming- come back soon!

Stop Wishing. Start Doing!

It has been 2 years since my last post- I know this has caused a void in your life.  PSYCHE!  I doubt you even knew I was gone.  Anyways, I am back and no big life events have happened in these past two years so I really don't have a good reason for my time away or any good stories to share.

So, I am back and on a mission.  I know I am probably the millionth person who has said this but- 2015 is my year.  I know, I know how original but deal with it.  I don't know what it is but it feels like I have hit a point in my life where I need change.  It feels like I have been sitting in the passenger seat for years and now I want to get in the drivers seat and start controlling where I am going.  Instead of wishing for the life I want, I am going to start doing.  There are lots of things I want to do and accomplish and I am ready to start the journey.  So, this post is the start to my journey- strap yourself in because this is going to be a wild ride- I promise.

Oops!.. I did it again!

No, this post is not going to be about my undying love for Britney Spears.  I told myself that I was going to be better about posting on my blog but of course I suck and it has been a few days.  For being a horrible blogger I grounded myself from tv, I lie I didn't but it sounded good.  Enough already let's get this party started.

So, while I have been gone not a whole lot has happened, I lie one big thing did happen.  We moved into a new house which is totally exciting and at the same time it is disappointing.  The reason I say disappointing is because I am the type of person who wants to get everything done NOW.  Well, I have learned that it is very hard to get a lot done while I am working full time and taking care of 3 kids.  My new plan of attack is to work on one room at a time.  Instead of trying to do a whole house at once I think it will be best to get one room finished at a time, so I have come to terms that our house slogan will be "Its a work in progress".  I can't wait to share my decorating journey with you, it is going to be so much fun.

I have decided that a new thing I am going to do on the blog is to start listing my current obsessions/loves.  So here are my current obsessions:

Veronica Mars- if you don't know what this is then you are missing out.  This is a tv show that used to be on weekly but of course it got canceled.  Well, I can not tell you how flipping excited I was to see that the Soap Channel is now airing it- hell yeah!

My new IPhone- Okay I know that everyone and their brother has one t me being the cheap money wise person I am I just couldn't bring myself to spend money on a phone when I can get one for free.  Well, when my 11 year old nephew got a nicer phone than me I decided it was time.  I love it!

Bath and Body Works- I never really have had a desire to go into this store, I just have never thought they had anything I would want.  Don't think that I am a smelly person or something, I have just bought my bath wash and stuff at other stores.  Long story short, I went in with my sister and I went on a spending spree and I am now one good smelling bitch.  Here is what I got:

These smell Amazing!

Lastly, here are some blogs that I have found and have become obsessed with!

I have a blog?

No, you are not dreaming this is real and I am back.  I know everyone has been checking my blog every hour on the hour for months waiting for my next blog post.  I want to apologize to all of my devout followers- yes all 3 of you.  I really wish that I had a good reason for my long absence, like say I was backpacking through Europe or I was on a mission trip making a difference in the world.  Unfortunately, I wasn't doing either of those things and I really don't have a good reason for my leave.  But have no fear I am back and I am ready to be a better blogger.  With further ado lets get this started!!

Do you smell the upsexy?

If you ask my friends and family they will tell you that I am a jokster- not extreme like Jackass but I like to have a laugh at other people's expense.  Well I was blog hopping today and I saw a few people post about a text joke that they did.  What you do is text someone and type something like  "Do you ever smell the upsexy in your house?"  and they are supposed to type back "What is upsexy?" and you reply "Nothing much, how about you"  get it..  What is up sexy?  I know I get a laugh out of the simpliest and stupiest things.   So, I decided today that I would try it out on my husband and it didnt' go how it was supposed to.  Here is the text conversation between us:

Let me first say that I was at work and he was at home when I texted him

Me:  Do u smell the upsexy in the house?
Clueless Husband: Say What?
Me: Do you smell the upsexy?
Clueless Husband: I don't no
Me: The upsexy do u smell it
Clueless Husband: No I don't smell anything
Me: U don't smell the upsexy
Clueless Husband: No
Me: U don't r u sure
Clueless Husband:  I'll go smell the sheets. Need to lay down anyway

Okay I have to say at this point I am dying laughing almost to tears.  He has no clue what I am talking about and I have no clue what the hell he is thinking

Me: What r u talking about I asked if u smelled the upsexy

He didn't respond back to me after this so I texted him again

Me:  Hello
Clueless Husband: I smell it.  It smells great
Me: What r u talking about
Clueless Husband: the sex
Me: I asked if u smelled teh upsexy not sex
Clueless Husband: And I said yes
Me: U smell the upsexy?

Well I think he got annoyed with me because he stopped texting me.  When I got home I asked him why he didn't text me back and he said he had no clue what I was talking about.  I explained the joke to him and he actually laughed especially when I said something about smelling the sheets- And no my sheets do not smell like upsexy- they are nice and clean!

Happy Frickin New Year

I am so happy to say goodbye to 2011 and hello to 2012.  It wasn't a horrible year but it also wasn't the most amazing one.  I am ready for 2012 and I am going to make sure that this is the year for me and my family.  I want to make some great memories, I want to worry less and to live life to the fullest.  I have millions of ideas going through my head- hence my blog title- but I have always been afraid to go through with them because I am scared of what people will say and I'm afraid of failure.  Well, this year I am throwing caution to the wind and I am going for what I want.  I am so ready to make changes to my life and I can't wait to share my victories and my failures with you, this is going to be a GREAT YEAR!

My Christmas Stocking

This year instead of hanging a stocking I am going to ask Santa aka my husband to buy me a new purse and fill it with all kinds of goodies, just like a stocking.  Fingers crossed that I stay on the nice list and if you know my husband feel free to email him a link to this post.

Why does pie have to taste so good

Would it be okay if I just wore stretchy pants for the next month.  I don't know about you but I know I ate way too much for Thanksgiving.  Well, I can't take back the two pieces of pie that I ate or the seconds that I had.  I think that from Thanksgiving to Christmas has got to be the worst time to be on a diet.   You have the endless christmas parties, baking christmas cookies and of course christmas shopping which makes you hungry or thristy.   I know a lot of people make it their new years resolution to get into shape and lose weight but I am thinking why not start now.  Let me first say that I am by no means saying that I am Miss Fit Universe.  I am just trying to find a way to enjoy my favorite treats without gaining a million pounds.  So, there are two great websites that I have found that have great workouts that you can do right at home.  The first one is

Instead of doing a set amount of each exercise you do them in intervals.  So, everytime you do the exercises you want to beat how many you did the time before.  I would die for a body like Zuzana, heck just to have a hint of muscle I would be happy.

The next website is:

If you click the header above it actually will take you to their youtube channel- their website is toneitup.com.   They have so many workouts that you would never get bored of doing the same thing over and over.  I really wish I could work out on the beach like they do.

Have you tried either of these sites?  If so let me know how they worked for you or if you have a favorite workout send it to me.

Once upon a time

A long, long time ago B.C (before children) I used to be a very crafty person.  I used to make jewelry, knit, sew, and I even tried making candles at one point.  Well, when I had my daughter my craft room was transformed into a nursery and so I moved my stuff downstairs to the office.  Then along came the twins and again my craft room was tranformed into a nursery and my craft stuff went into a closet and that is where it has stayed.  Instead of knitting a scarf my time was spent feeding kids, changing diapers, and trying to get some sleep.  As I was searching my favorite website, Pinterest, I started getting the crafting bug again.  There are so many great ideas that people post and it has made me want to get my stuff out of storage.  Here are some of the first projects I would like to do:

If you have some great diy projects you have done, I would love to see them.

I am not ready

Today something happened that did not make me very happy- it snowed here in Michigan.  I know you are probably thinking that I should be used to snow since I live in Michigan but I am not.  I do not like anything about snow- I hate driving in it, I hate shoveling it, I hate walking through it, I pretty much hate everything about snow.  I have lived in Michigan all my life and I dread every winter and the dreaded snow that comes with it.  The only good thing about winter is shopping for snow boots.  So, instead of thinking about all the snow that will eventually be on the ground, I am going to think of the awesome boots that I want on my feet.

Buckle Up, Its The Law

When I was in high school I remember the one thing i wanted for christmas was a seat belt belt.  If you don't know what i am talking about, this is what it looked like:
Well, this was probably the last time that I wore a belt.  I love all the fashions that incorporate belts but everytime I try them they just don't look right.  I did find some belts that I liked and think they would be a good start for me to begin incorporating belts into my wardrobe.

Buckle Up, Its The Law

I would love to see how you incorporate belts into your wardrobe!
